The BCS/BRCS Alumni Association is into its third year now, and we have seen increased growth in our membership. The main goal of the new association is to encourage ALL previous BCS, RCS, and BRCS alumni to join this group which is designed to strengthen the alumni connection and lead it into the future.
Another goal is to encourage our younger alumni, especially the Bolivar-Richburg Wolverine graduates, to join and participate. Steve Yehl, retired BRCS teacher and BCS Class of ’72 alum, set about to communicate with the Wolverine alumni by contacting them and getting their updated biographical information to share on the Bolivar-Richburg Alumni Association Facebook page. So far, he has featured over 150 former students. If you get a chance, check out that page to see how well some of our most recent graduates have been faring. Steve is looking for more students to profile, so if you have a Wolverine graduate (or friend) in your family, send them in his direction.
Just a reminder that the only way to get the newsletter mailed to you in the spring is to pay the $10 annual dues. This fee, which helps sustain the alumni association, is requested of anyone who wants to receive a printed copy via postal mail. Just like everything else, our costs are going up, and we need to pay for postage, envelopes, printing, reception costs, etc. The letter will only be mailed to BCS graduates, but not to BRCS grads, as they can receive this info on the association’s Facebook page and website.
